The image was created in 1912 by Mother Margaret Mary Nealis r.s.c.j (1876- 1957). Called "Regina Pacis" meaning Queen of Peace, the image depicts the Blessed Mother crowned as the Queen of Peace with her royal scepter in one hand and the Child Jesus grasping the fingers of her other hand, as he bestows his divine blessing.
